Abrasive Blasting


Sandblasting is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface of the harsh subject under high pressure to smoothens a rough surface, the shape of a surface or remove surface contaminants. A pressurized fluid is pressurized by compressed air or a centrifugal wheel(turbine or motor). It is used to propel the blasting material to the subject.

Types of Sandblasting


There are several variants of the process, using various mediums some are highly abrasive, whereas some are milder. Most of them are used for shot blasting (with metal shot) and sandblasting (with sand). Moderately abrasive variants include glass particles due to sharp edges and plastic media blasting due to round particles, walnut shells having curved edges. We can also use waste particles having Sharp edges, Curved edges, Round Edges corresponds to the subject.

Wet Sandblasting Machine

In the Wet Abrasiveblasting process, the abrasive is mixed with water to have fluidity towards the subject. This type of Sandblasting machines is available in all conventional formats including hand cabinets, walk-in booths, automated production machinery, and CabinetRoom. Advantages include the ability to use extremely fine or coarse particles with densities ranging from plastic to steel and the ability to use hot water and soap to allow a simultaneous degree of blasting. Process speeds are generally not as fast as conventionally dry abrasive blasting. The reduction in dust also makes it safer to use silicacious material for blasting or to remove hazardous material such as corrosive, radioactive or poisonous products. The advantage of using a wet process is a strong alternative to dry blasting.

Dry Sandblasting Machine

In Dry Abrasiveblasting process, the abrasive is used in the dry form of rod or powder. It is conventionally faster than all types of sandblasting. It uses abrasives agents in dry powder to be sprayed on the subject.

Steel grit Sandblasting Machine

This type of machine the fed abrasive is steel grit having sharp edges. Used for removing unwanted deep particles fastly due to the nature of these steel grits. It has fast Cutting in nature.

Glass beads Sandblasting Machine

For a matte and satin finish glass bead sandblasting is best. This is because the grit has very fine materials that polish the surface of the object being sandblasted. This type of abrasive blasting is often used in cabinets. Because of the harsh material.

Bristle Sandblasting Machine

In this type of abrasive blasting, no separate medium is used for removing unwanted particles. Steel wire bristles are rotated on a surface to removal of impurities, hence leaving the surface smooth. This method is often used to clean metal surfaces with corrosion.
